WE’RE CONNECTED LOCALLY

What Does it Cost?

The City Farm is free to enter but a £3 donation is encouraged every time you visit — just pop it into the donation bin or use the “tap to donate” facility by the gates.

But please don’t worry if you can’t afford a donation: everyone is welcome!

To ensure a safe visit, please download and read the Industry Code of Practice “Preventing or Controlling Ill Health from Animal Contact at Visitor Attractions”

Your donations enable us to offer targeted activities for those at most need within our communities and to maintain green spaces for farm animals and wildlife accessible to all.

Please consider become a monthly donor or a one time donation donation HERE

If you’d like to find out more about accessing the Farm during the week or getting involved in one of our volunteer projects, please send us an email on office@swcityfarm.co.uk or call us on 0117 9428241.

Getting to the City Farm

Learn How to get here in many different ways

There are several ways of reaching us – the easiest is to walk or cycle through the railway tunnel on Mina Road, or alternatively take one of the footpaths running alongside the Allotments or Narroways nature reserve.

Take the Number Five bus from the City Centre to the stop on James Street / Glenfrome Road and walk down Mina Road.

The closest train station is Montpelier, located a 0.6 mile or 12 minute mostly flat walk away (via Cromwell Rd, Balmoral and Hurlingham).

Drive down to the end of Mina Road and take the first left after the graffiti tunnel onto Watercress Road.

Parking can be quite limited on Watercress Road, so often parking before the tunnel and walking two minutes to the main Farm site, past our Community Garden, is a better option.

Our Boiling Wells site is further down on a private road, so you definitely need to park your car near the Farm then walk down the lane to access this site.
