Our Ongoing Projects

Propagation Place

We are a social enterprise and community project that grows and delivers a variety of thriving and ready-to-plant vegetable seedlings to the whole of the UK.

Children & Young People

We run a number of fun, inspiring — and sometimes dirty — activities for children, tweens and teenagers of all ages.

Space to Grow

A Partnerships Programme that offers low-cost site hire, collaborative project design, and delivery to 24-month Residencies.

Supported Farming

The Farm is set within a safe and beautiful green space in St Werburghs surrounded by allotments and the Narroways Nature Reserve. This is a perfect place for our sessions.

Getting to the City Farm

Learn How to get here in many different ways

There are several ways of reaching us – the easiest is to walk or cycle through the railway tunnel on Mina Road, or alternatively take one of the footpaths running alongside the Allotments or Narroways nature reserve.

Take the Number Five bus from the City Centre to the stop on James Street / Glenfrome Road and walk down Mina Road.

The closest train station is Montpelier, located a 0.6 mile or 12 minute mostly flat walk away (via Cromwell Rd, Balmoral and Hurlingham).

Drive down to the end of Mina Road and take the first left after the graffiti tunnel onto Watercress Road.

Parking can be quite limited on Watercress Road, so often parking before the tunnel and walking two minutes to the main Farm site, past our Community Garden, is a better option.

Our Boiling Wells site is further down on a private road, so you definitely need to park your car near the Farm then walk down the lane to access this site.
